I am a Research Staff Member at IBM TJ Watson Research’s Collaborative User Experience group in Cambridge, MA. In 2009, I received my PhD in Communication and Information Science from Cornell University, where I also earned a B.S. and M.S. Pre-grad school, I was a web producer in dot-com boom #1 at some defunct startups and an earlier version of AOL’s city guides. Before that, I worked in film production; first, as a production coordinator at a commercial production company and then, as a story editor at Universal Pictures.
Random bits of info: I grew up on Long Island so I reject most non-metro NYC bagels as inferior. Except Montreal bagels. Those are tasty. I like bacon so much that we deepfried a bacon explosion the night I defended my dissertation. Someday, I would like to run a marathon and successfully do a handstand without the assistance of a wall
